Refuge du Lac de la Grande Lechere
Saint François Longchamp
At an altitude of 1700 m, with a breathtaking view of the northern Belledonne, the Pic de l'Etendard and the Aiguilles d'Arves, we welcome you every season for half-board, snacks and meals.
Departure point for numerous routes and hiking trails for all levels.
Take a moment to try out our orienteering courses (free).
2-hour walk from Saint François Longchamp (Replat) or Montgellafrey, or 5 minutes from the refuge car park.
It is also possible to climb the mountain by bike (by road) or on foot from La Chambre (signposted path takes 3 hours 30 minutes).
The refuge sleeps 35 people in 6 dormitories of 4 to 8 beds. We offer overnight accommodation only, half-board (including overnight accommodation, evening meal and breakfast) and full-board, with the addition of a picnic lunch for the following day. Home-cooked meals using mainly organic, local and seasonal produce.
Don't forget to book for lunch or to come and stay, and make sure you bring a cheque or cash as we don't take credit cards at the refuge (there's not much of a network).
