    • When is the resort open?

    The winter season opens on Saturday 14 December 2024 and closes on 11 April 2025. In summer, the 2 months of July and August are open, with the summer season sometimes extending into September, depending on when school starts.

    • How do I get there?

    • How do I book a shuttle from Saint Avre – La Chambre station?

    You need to go directly to the carrier’s website and book your bus ticket online at least 48 hours in advance. The journey takes around 30 minutes.

    • Is the Col de la Madeleine accessible by car?

    In summer, the Col de la Madeleine is accessible by car from the end of May. The road joins the Tarentaise valley via Cellier to reach La Léchère (73260). As soon as the first snow falls and during the winter season, the Col is inaccessible by car.

    • Is the resort accessible to people with disabilities?

    Of course it is! A number of accommodation, shops and activities are adapted for people with disabilities.

    • Where and when are masses held?

    Masses are generally held on Sunday evenings in the Saint-Anne chapel. You can use the resort’s shuttle bus to get there. Remember to tell the driver when you get on the bus.

    • Are there any markets near SFL?

    There are markets in La Chambre on Thursday mornings (16 km away) and in Saint Jean de Maurienne on Saturday mornings (about 25 km away).

    • How can I find out about road conditions?

    • Is special equipment compulsory for access to the resort?

    Yes, in winter you must have snow tyres, chains or snow socks in your vehicle.

    • Can I bring my dog into the resort? (Chairlifts, slopes, walks)

    Your pet must be kept on a lead or harness in the resort. The guide at the tourist office will tell you which trails are suitable for pets and which are not. To use the chairlift in summer, a harness is compulsory. Smaller dogs can be carried in a rucksack.

    • Where can I find internet access?

    Free Wi-Fi internet access is available at the Tourist Office and at the bar in the Balneotherapy Centre.

    50G E-Pocket boxes are available from the Reservation Centre from €7/day or €39/week.

    • Where can I withdraw cash at the resort?

    The Crédit Agricole cash dispenser is located behind the Tourist Office in the Alouette building.

    • Are there rubbish bins and recycling bins at the resort?

    There are several selective sorting containers. You can find them at 1450 m, at Les Longes, Place de la Madeleine, Plan Mollaret. The nearest waste collection centre is at La Chambre (73130).

    • Is it easy to get to the centre of the resort from Les Longes? And from 1450 m? On foot + shuttle + car

    It’s easy to get around the resort thanks to the free Skibus shuttles in winter.

    However, you can easily use your car and park in the car parks (all free) or use the footpaths from 1450 m to the resort centre.

    • How do I get to Montaimont? How do I get to Montgellafrey?

    To get to Montaimont, all you have to do is get in your car and head back down towards La Chambre. Montaimont is 8 km from Saint François Longchamp.

    To get to Montgellafrey :

    In winter: go to Montgellafrey directly from the valley and do not go via Saint François Longchamp as the road is closed due to snow.

    Family information

    • Where can I change my baby in the resort?

    The public toilets have baby-changing facilities, as does the Hors Sac room at 1,450 m.

    • Where can I find childcare items?

    The pharmacy on Place de la Madeleine has a babycare section. In addition, the booking office offers baby kit hire (cots, baths).

    • Where can I have my children looked after?

    La Maison des Enfants is the nursery at Saint François Longchamp. It is located in the resort centre opposite the tourist office and welcomes children from 3 months.

    • What can I do in winter with my child who doesn’t want to ski?

    Many service providers will be on hand in and around the resort to offer a range of activities! Don’t hesitate to visit our Tourist Office to find out more.

    • Are there lots of activities for children?

    Our team is working hard to offer you as many activities as possible during the holiday periods and throughout the year.

    • Do you have any activities planned for teenagers?

    We offer different activities for different ages, so your teenagers won’t be left out!

    • Where can I find out more about the Famille Plus label?

    The Tourist Office team will be delighted to talk to you about it! And don’t miss the special Family Guide.

    • I have a pushchair, can I walk with it?

    Our comfort walk is a short hike accessible to pushchairs in summer. In winter, you can take a pushchair sledge for this walk.

    • Where can I find Famille Plus advantages in the resort?

    Famille Plus applies to certain events and activities, shops and services. You can find all this information in the Famille Plus Guide.

    Parking and shuttles

    • Where can I park for free at the resort?

    All outdoor car parks in the resort are free. Click here to find out more about the car parks

    • Is there parking for campervans?

    Campervans can only park in the large car park below the P3 balneotherapy centre.

    The skibuses are free. You can find the timetables here, and also in paper format at the Tourist Office.

    • How can I get my lift pass refunded?

    You should contact the ski lifts on 04.79.84.37.15 or write to caisses.sfl@labellemontagne.com

    • Can I go cross-country skiing in SFL? How do I get to the Espace Nordique du Grand Coin?

    The Espace Nordique du Grand Coin is located 8 km from the resort in the village of Montaimont and offers a range of cross-country skiing and snowshoeing trails for all levels. Find out more here

    • Where are the ESF meeting points?

    Behind the Tourist Office in the centre of the resort at 1650 m, next to the Jardin des Neiges area for younger skiers.

    • Can I top up my ski pass online?

    You can top up your ski pass on the Labellemontagne website.

    • What number should I call if I need help in the mountains?

    You need to call 112 or to contact the rescue service on the slopes in winter: 04.79.59.10.38

    Shops & Services

    • What food shops are there in the resort?

    You’ll find all the shops you need for a pleasant stay in the resort: mini-market, bakery, etc. Find all our food shops here.

    • Is there a medical service in the resort?

    You’ll find doctors, nurses, a pharmacy and a fire brigade in the resort.

    • Are there ski lockers in the resort?

    Ski shops generally offer ‘ski lockers’ when you rent. You can find all the shops here

    • Where can I print documents in the resort?

    The tourist office offers this service for a fee, as do the libraries in our villages.

    • Where can I buy stamps at the station? Where can I post my mail?

    You can buy stamps at the ‘La Cadeautière’ shop, which is also a post office. Your mail can be posted in the letterbox at the entrance to the tourist office.

    • Dry cleaning

    There is a self-service dry cleaners (for a fee) on the Place de la Madeleine.

    Reservation Centre

    • Where is the Central Reservations Office located?

    The Reservation Centre is located at Place de la Madeleine.

    • How do I hire a Pocket Wifi?

    You can go directly to the reservation centre to hire a 50G E-Pocket from €7/day or €39/week.

    • Pressing

    A self-service launderette (for a fee) is located in Place de la Madeleine.

    • What are the additional costs for accommodation?

    For each rental :

    Tourist tax from €0.88/night for people over 18. Rate varies according to accommodation classification.

    Booking fee 15 €.

    Yes, all availabilities are in real time.

    • How do I make a reservation?

    Either by telephone on 04.79.59.10.56 by entering 2 or by clicking directly on ‘book’ on the central reservation website.

    • How do I book activities and events?

    You need to contact the activity providers directly, as only they know their availability. You can easily find their contact details in the activities guide.

    For events organised by the Tourist Office, you can register online here or at the Tourist Office reception desk.

    Registration is open for the entire 2024-2025 winter season.

    For paying events, you will need to go directly to the Tourist Office reception desk to book and pay (payment only in cash, ANCV holiday vouchers, ANCV connect or bank cheques).
