Animation room Dady Thioune Monday, August 4 at 8:30 p.m.

A young prodigy who hasn’t let go of his guitar since the age of 9, he’s played on stages all over the world, alongside some of the greatest — including Omar Pene, Orchestra Baobab, Baaba Maal… In Senegal, he’s also known as an arranger, co-composer, sound engineer — a true source of musical energy that countless artists (hello Wally Seck!) draw from to bring their live shows and albums to life.

Today, it’s his turn — and his alone — to take the spotlight!

Dady Thioune, guided by his acoustic guitar like on a magic carpet, sings a raw, original Mandinka blues — deeply African. After many roads, he’s found his own, and now offers you melodies drawn from the depths of his soul, ready to be shared.
