The Espace Nordique du Grand Coin, located between Montaimont and Montpascal, charming little villages located in the heart of the Maurienne region at an average altitude of 1300 meters, will welcome you for cross-country skiing, sledding and snowshoeing.
The Espace Nordique du Grand Coin is overlooked by the summit of Grand Coin, which gave the site its name. The trails wind through pine forests, connecting typical, authentic hamlets and offering exceptional views.
As you explore the 12 cross-country ski trails (40 km) or the 10 marked snowshoe trails (35 km), you will discover an area that will never cease to amaze you.
In a preserved natural setting, you can also try your hand at biathlon or go sledding.
This family-friendly site welcomes you to one of its two visitor centres (Montaimont at an altitude of 1,355 metres or Col du Chaussy at 1,533 metres) where you can hire cross-country skis, snowshoes and toboggans.
The Espace Nordique du Grand Coin is a Nordique France-certified site.
As an added bonus, a Kota is available, accessible by cross-country skis and snowshoes, for your barbecues, with free access.
The trails start in the village of Bonvillard. The cross-country skiing centre sells day passes, week passes and season passes, and also rents equipment. A picnic room is available. Snowshoe trails in magnificent landscapes
In Bonvillard, you can also go snowshoeing on a trail that leads to Lake Loup.
