There are a few ‘rules’ you should observe before heading off to the mountains:
– Check the weather forecast, as the weather changes very quickly in the mountains.
– Have a good breakfast and take a small snack with you.
– The sun in the mountains is very strong, so remember to regularly apply high factor sun cream.
– Drink plenty of fluids to keep well hydrated.
– Respect other skiers on the slopes
– Keep warm with several layers of clothing.
– Get the right equipment for skiing! Snow boots, warm clothing, gloves, goggles and ski helmets are compulsory.
– The mountains are a fragile place. Never throw your rubbish out in the open and remember to sort it.
– Containers are available throughout the commune for this purpose!
– When out walking, keep your dog on a lead: it could disturb or chase wild animals.
