Animation room Lucie Guillem & band Monday, July 29 at 8:30 p.m.

Lucie Guillem & band is a jazz trio (piano, voice, double bass). Inspired by such jazz greats as Billie Holiday, Gretchen Parlato and Esperanza Spalding, 𝐋𝐮𝐜𝐢𝐞 𝐆𝐮𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐦 sings and interprets the music in a journey of many stops where original compositions and standards merge.

Lucie Guillem & Band’s sextet embodies a vibrant celebration of George Gershwin’s musical legacy. With a drum-less but equally captivating line-up, this group of talented musicians passionately explores the nuances of traditional jazz while honoring the melodic richness and harmonic sophistication characteristic of Gershwin’s compositions.

Animation room Amy n’Blues Tuesday, July 30 at 8:30 p.m.

Amy n’Blues is a tribute to Amy Winehouse. To sing and play “Amy” is to bring her music to life, to introduce her world to those who haven’t had the time to get to know and appreciate her. This trio of vocals, guitar and bass offers a repertoire drawn from her 1st album, “Franck”, which has a strong “Jazz” feel, and “Back to Black”, which is much more “Soul and RnB”.

British guitarist Tom Ollendorff is one of the new generation of London musicians who are making such a splash these days.
Beyond his flawless playing, served by uncommon virtuosity, it’s a constant sense of balance and aesthetics that stands out when listening to this musician. Each note, each phrase, is naturally integrated into a carefully constructed narrative, in constant interaction with his partners. His countless collaborations include recent tours with Aaron Parks, Ben Wendel and Ari Hoenig, artists who have had a major influence on today’s international jazz scene. He is joined by pianist Fabrice Tarel. He is known for his rich and profound compositions, with a singular universe, and for his strong links with England, where he lived for several years.
