The LEKKAROD

THE LEKKAROD REVIVES WHAT WAS ONCE THE WORLD’S FIRST SLED DOG STAGE RACE.

In the sumptuous setting of the Alps, mushers from all over Europe come together for a competition based on respect. Respect for people, dogs and nature. An adventure led by a team of passionate volunteers.
Since 2015, the Lekkarod has been a major mushing race in Europe. Affiliated to the national FFST and international IFSS federations, it is a stage in the World Cup.

Where to see the race?

On Tuesday 18, Wednesday 19 and Thursday 20 March 2025, come and watch the start of the stages of the famous Lekkarod sled dog race.
The start of each stage will be at 6pm on the snow front (in front of the Maison du Tourisme).

!IMPORTANT INFORMATION !
Dogs are not allowed in the start area, in the vicinity of the race or in the mushers’ car parks, even if they are on a lead.
